I gained support of Councillors to pass the following motion in The City Roads Infrastructure Committee;

That the Deputy Chief Executive Officer - Infrastructure Services be requested to prepare a report responding to the State Government's Draft Plan titled 'Connecting SEQ 2031: An Integrated Regional Transport Plan' for South East providing feedback to the Department of Transport and Main Roads on the following:
(a) relevant public transport needs for Logan;
(b) immediate needs for public transport in Logan, in particular rail transport; and
(c) satisfaction of timeframes for the provision of transport infrastructure across Logan.

This motion has to be passed by full Council next Tuesday.

This is one of the steps I have taken to pressure the State Government into providing more public transport for our region.
